Background Story of Ellai Explored by CCTV’s Voyages of Discovery Program “Quality”

From May 3rd to 8th 2016, “Quality”, China’s first great-scale TV documentary program on product quality and brand development, carried an in-depth report of Ellai Bathware to disclose the all-bearing innovations made by Ellai regarding the quality of “Made-in-China”.

The “Quality” program team made rigorous selection of representative enterprises in China, kept truthful record of how product quality and brand influence are utilized to change the consumption habit and lifestyle of Chinese people, and to witness the remarkable legend of quality transformation from Made-in-China to Created-in-China. Ellai’s dual genetic factors of world-leading bathware concepts in combination with traditional Chinese ceramic technology happen to coincide with the core idea of “Quality” program.

      On May 3rd, 2016, the program team of “Quality” team made a trip to Ellai’s production base in Tangshan to film the tidy and spacious plant. Ellai’s three production bases cover a total land area of over 400,000 square meters, manned by more than 2,000 employees, with 10 tunnel kilns and shuttle kilns for over 400 production lines to generate over 4.5 million bathroom products each year.
      Although Ellai has internationalized production lines, it still insists on traditional ceramic technologies for some processes, where artisans have to meticulously polish and decorate each greenware without leaving any crack or defect for the sake of perfection. 
      On May 6th, the filming team of “Quality” arrived at Ellai headquarters in Shanghai and filmed a documentary on the designers and researchers. The designers shared their inspiration involved in the creation of the Ellai multi-functional MINI basins. 
      The MINI basin, with its unique bionic shape, small size, and vividness, mimics the strolling of a lazy “Persian cat” at home: the retractable faucet looks like its tail curling up; the basin itself is like the fat tummy; and the base resembles its stretched limbs. The affinity-oriented design in round shape with profound artistic feeling adds exceptional fun to your life.
      On May 7th, the filming team of “Quality” arrived at Ellai’s factory of intelligent production lines, which were put in full play for the new product of intelligent toilet seats to be debuted in the 2016 China International Sanitary Ware Expo.
      On the same day, the filming team hurried to Shanghai without a stop to conduct an interview with Mr. Meng, the founder of Ellai Bathware to listen to his insightful ideas.
